VRS provides benefits to the members at retirement age; upon disability, or death.
VRS (Group Life Insurance)
In the event of death, employee’s beneficiary receives a payment double the amount of the employee’s salary; accidental death coverage is four times the employee’s salary.
Both are rounded to the next highest thousand.

RSW Regional Jail offers Anthem – The Local Choice medical, dental, and vision insurance. Plans offered are Employee, Employee plus one, and Employee/Family.
An employee begins to earn annual leave upon appointment. The rate at which it is accrued over time depends on the employee’s total length of service with RSW Regional Jail as shown in the table below.
