Facility Information

The RSW Regional Jail is located on Winchester Road, Route 340/522 approximately 3 miles north of Interstate 66 in Warren County, Virginia. The jail, opened in July 2014, serves the counties of Warren, Rappahannock, and Shenandoah.

Utilizing a modern design approach and incorporating similar materials used on surrounding structures, care was taken to break up the mass of the front façade of the building in order to provide a pleasing architectural design that compliments the Highway Overlay District zoning by providing a commercial building appearance. The building has one and two level areas, with a total gross square footage of approximately 175,000 square feet.

The jail is LEED certified with the US Green Building Council, and is designed to implement high performance and sustainable features including water saving systems.

Inmate Information

We have been made aware of a recent scam, where family or friends of inmates will receive a call from someone posing as a bondsman in an attempt to obtain money from them.

During the call, the scammer will convince the family or friend to send a cash or electronic payment immediately so they can get the inmate out of jail. If you have not been communicating with the inmate directly or did not call for a bondsman, we would caution against immediately sending money.

We would encourage you to ask for the name of the individual and where they work and then call the company phone directly to verify the information.
